Meet Jonas
Our founder, owner, and principle guide, Jonas completed his training in Arusha in 1998 at Key-field Tourism College. Jonas then spent 8 years as a tour operations manager before becoming a full time field tour guide in 2006.
An expert navigator and driver, Jonas’s reputation has earned respect amongst his many peers. Besides his own guiding, Jonas trains new generations of guides in route-finding and game driving — ensuring world class service for all visitors to Tanzania, whether in his Land Cruiser or another.
Jonas has been responsible for thousands of memories created across the country, from the top of Mt. Kilimanjaro to the plains of the Serengeti. Jonas is a game-changer.
Jonas responds to every inquiry himself, ensuring each guest gets a trip catered to their individual wants and needs.

A Family Rooted
in Tanzania
Jonas lives in Arusha with his wife, Risper, and their three children, Collins, Valentine and Shangwe, where they operate a small family farm.
Jonas’s oldest child, Collins, is the first of the three to graduate his secondary education, and is currently studying at the Kilimanjaro-Moshi College of African Wildlife, pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Wildlife Tourism — hoping to follow in his fathers footsteps.
